It worked!!

Ok, so now a real 1st post for everyone! Here is a little update on each of us....from shortest to tallest :)

Honey:

She is almost 2 and the kids love her a ton. She has learned how to roll over and sit pretty but then expects that you will give her a treat. We are still working on her not jumping on people. She won't jump on kids but adults are fair game in her book. We will see what she thinks of the baby. Her favorite place to sleep at night is on the floor next to the babies crib. Grace wishes she would sleep in her room... (btw, Grace is pretty sure Pink is Honey's favorite color).

Grace:

Grace just turned 5 on Aug 28th and is getting ready for some major changes in her life. She is going to Kindergarten, getting a new baby sister and has a wiggly tooth. Her favorite color is still GREEN (this has not changed since she was 2 1/2). She is very silly and caring. I know she will be a huge help when the baby is born! Her favorite things to do are play with the hose, get dirty, go anywhere daddy is going and play with friends. She would be happy if her friends could just live with her all the time. I think someday she will look forward to Assisted Living for the Elderly :). She is excited to start ballet classes in 2 weeks so watch for updates on that! She hates having her hair brushed, making her bed and mashed potatoes.

Jack:

Jack our little man is now 8 1/2 and starting 3rd grade at Core Knowlege Charter School. He says he isn't ready for summer to end but I know he is excited to see all his friends and get back into a routine again. He is our sports/fishing/hunting enthusiast. His dream was to go to a Packer game, a Brewer game, a Bucks game and a Badger football game. So far we have checked everything except the Badger football game off the list! Anyone have cheap Badger football tickets ;)? He just started NFL Flag Football with Jared as a coach. He can't wait until next year when it is full pads...yikes. I have tried to encourage more sports like golf or badmitton but football is the favorite. He competed this year in the Oregon Kids Triatholon and finished in 17 minutes! We were so proud of him! We just fixed up a pedal boat for the lake behind our house and he has spent HOURS on the boat fishing, either with a friend or by himself. He LOVES it! He is very excited about the baby coming and says he will NOT change any diapers, poo or not. He did say his "job" is to make her laugh...he loves babies laughing. Jacks dislikes are any green, red, or orange vegtable (basically all vegtables) and having to come in at night from fishing/playing.

Me:

Same thing, different day. Trying to keep the offices running, the clothes washed and the house clean. I have recently started finding time to scrapbook again. I was hoping to have our Disney album done before the baby comes but that isn't going to happen. I have 1 1/2 trips yet to get in there and I don't even have the pictures developed yet :)! I am thrilled our house remodel is finally done and everyone has their own bedrooms and we aren't living in sheet rock dust anymore. Now we are working on the outside...wait that is Jareds update! Hopefully you will all be seeing a thinner side of me very soon. I think this little princess is very happy in there and we will have to drag her out next Thursday. That is the deadline or she will be another monster baby like Jack (10 1/2 pounds)....OUCH. Now I have a new hobby...blogging :).

Jared:
Jared has been working his tail off the past year on our house remodel. We bought a duplex 6 years ago, moved into 1/2 of it 5 years ago and started making it into one house 1 year ago. It turned out wonderful. We have now gone from 700 square feet to 3400 square feet! 2 bedrooms 1 bath to 4 bedrooms 2 bathrooms and the entire basement is finished. The space is wonderful. Now he is working on the outside by taking out trees, building a staircase to go down to the lake and retrieving our neighbors old dock from across the lake. Right now he is using our pedal boat to go across the lake then he has to jump in that nasty, snapping turtle infested lake and pull a piece of dock back across. FUN. He is also on a worship team at church so that has kept him busy. Oh, and he runs 2 chiropractic offices by himself (4 hours at each office, 4 days a week). He also makes tons of time to take the kids fishing and play catch with Jack and coach his NFL football team on Saturdays. He is the best daddy and husband I have ever known.
So there you have it. Our first official post to get everyone caught up with us. We will talk to you all soon....I have to make sure Jared isn't drowning in the lake :)
